Served as PHS Co-Captain for football and basketball teams during his Senior Year

Mike will always be remembered by his fellow Dragons for his inate ability to not only tackle a runner in the open field, but to somehow steal the ball away from him in the process

Selected as All District A-7 Linebacker (1971)

Selected to the All- Arbuckle Conference Basketball Team (1971 - 72)

Selected as the Most Valuable Player of the 1972 PHS Baseball Team.

Named as an alternate to the 1972 Oklahoma Coaches Association Baseball Team

Selected as the First Recipient of the Boney Matthews Award (1972) as the Most Outstanding PHS Senior Male Athlete

Attended University of Oklahoma where he was a member of the OU Judo Club. While on the team, he was named as an Oklahoma State Judo Champion for 2 years and once earned Tri-State Champion honors

Named as a Defensive Back on the 1970's PHS All-Decade Football Team by Purcell Football Alumni

Currently an executive working in Regulatory at Devon Energy in Oklahoma City

Fondly remembered by his teammates as one of the most intelligent and instinctive Dragon athletes ever, who always left everything on the field of play, no matter what sport
