Set a Class B State Basketball Tournament record by scoring 101 points during the Dragons three game run to the title. (26 points vs Sentinel) (37 points vs Spiro) (38 points vs. Wyandotte)

Selected to the 1st Team of the Oklahoma High School All-State Basketball Team ( 1956-57 )

Accepted a scholarship to play basketball for the University of Oklahoma

Letterman University of Oklahoma Basketball Team (1959 - 1961)

Recognized as one of the first two African-Americans to receive a scholarship to play basketball for the University of Oklahoma Men's Basketball Team

Elected to the Purcell High School Sports Hall of Fame in 2011.
