A member of the PHS 440 yard relay team that set a new school record ( 44.4 ) at Regionals and qualified for the Class A State Track Meet in 1970

David is probably the only 6'-0", 220 sprinter to run on relays in the long History of PHS Track.

David was clocked at a personal best of (10.2) in the 100 yard Dash during his Senior year ( 1971 )

Selected as a Captain of the 1970 Purcell Football Team

Selected as the Class A District 7 "Football Player of the Year"

David used his exceptional combination of size, speed, and power to become one of the most gifted athletes to ever don the Dragon Football uniform.
