In the 1972 Class A State Championship Game against Hominy, Joe rushed for 153 yards on 9 carries and scored 3 TD's while completing 1 / 2 passes for 20 yards in the 24-7 victory over the Bucks

The Winningest Quarterback to ever play for the Dragons. Joe went (31 - 7) as a starter in 3 years.

In his Senior season, Joe rushed 175 times for 1160 yards and 24 TD's. He completed 44 of 102 passes for 1,154 yards and 11 TD's. He also kicked 21 extra points on the year

Will always be remembered in Dragon Sports History for scoring 32 points in a PHS Basketball game against Chickasha in a (56-52) Dragon win to open the 1972 Heart of Oklahoma Basketball
