2 year starter at Center and at Linebacker for the PHS Football Team

Named to the All-Arbuckle Conference Football Team as a Center (1955)

Bill played on PHS Basketball Teams that went to 3 consecutive Class B State Tournaments over his high school career. PHS also qualified for the Class B State tournament in 1956-57 which set a school record of 4 straight High School State Basketball Tournament appearances that still stands

Playing for Boney Matthews, Bill's PHS basketball teams went (88 - 18) during his career. They were Class B State Runner-Ups twice and were also Class B State Semi-Finalists his Senior season.

Played on the 1953-1954 Class B State Finalist Basketball Team that lost to Byng in the Class B State Finals (55 - 49) and finished with an overall record of (28 - 7)

Part-time Starter on the 1954-1955 Class B State Finalist Basketball Team that lost to Stonewall in the Class B State Finals (69 - 60) and finished with an overall record of (28 - 6)

Starter on the 1955-1956 Class B State Finalist Basketball Team that lost to Calera in the Class B State-State Semi-Finals (48 - 43) and finished with an overall record of (32 - 5)

Accepted Basketball Scholarship to Oklahoma Baptist University where he played all four years under Coach Bob Bass, who later became the head coach of the San Antonio Spurs.

While at OBU, Bill's 1958 and 1960 OBU teams won the Oklahoma Collegiate Conference (OCC) and qualified for the NAIA National Tournament in Kansas City. The 1960 team defeated the # 1 seeded team before being knocked out of the tournament later themselves

Upon graduation from OBU, Bill had a successful 7 year coaching and teaching career at Chickasha High School, where he served as an assistant football coach and head tennis coach

During this time, Bill received a National Science Foundation Scholarship to OU where he completed a Masters Degree in Natural Science in 1967, which then led to his upcoming pharmaceutical career

Bill began his employment with Parke Davis / Pfizer where he completed 33 years of service before his retirement in 2000. Bill served as Director of Human Resources, Area Business Manager, and was even named to the President's Advisory Council

Bill is married to the former Jan Gallamore of Purcell. They have one daughter, Kendall, her husband Michael Guess, and their 3 grand-children, Rachel, Kelsey, and Ethan Guess
