A member of the PHS 440 yard relay team that set a new school record ( 44.4 ) at Regionals and qualified for the Class A State Track Meet in 1970

Acknowledged by Boney Matthews as one of the three best PHS Basketball players (along with Lester Lane and Jimmy Cheadle ) that he ever coached

Selected as a Guard on the 1970 Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State Basketball Honorable Mention Team.

Accepted Football Scholarship at the University of Oklahoma ( 1970 ). Later changed to a Basketball Scholarship at OU ( 1971)
